We Live in Pune, Maharashtra. After a long time, We had planned a holiday at Jaipur. I had booked a room at Hotel Kohinoor in the vicinity of Jaipur Station for a 3 days stay. So, after staying for two days in Jaipur and eating at different places, I thought of taking my family to Thali House which was located just a walk away distance from our hotel. We went there at around 9 P.M. and ordered the traditional Dal Bati Churma Thali. The ambiance of the hotel as such was not very good and was crowded. Anyhow, thinking that crowding would be due to its popularity, We went upstairs, in the family sitting section which was dimly lighted. 2 to 3 family were sitting there with us. Our order was bought and we ate the stuff. The taste as such was no ... View Moret very delicious and we were just feeding our selves considering it as a local delicacy. I had my only son aged 3 years eating with us in the dark. After completing my food, I picked up the small bowl containing choorma and as soon as I picked the first scoop, I saw something black in the bowl. Since the room was dimly lighted, after seeing it carefully I found it out to be a COCKROACH which was quiet big one. Immediately, with the spoon I shaked the choorma and found another dried COCKROACH. I just thanked god for seeing it since I was going to feed the same choorma to my son. I called upon the waiter and asked him to call the manager. The manager came and after hearing us, he simply nodded his head and moved out of the room talking to another guy asking him to inform the kitchen team that no cockroach should come in thali.... AMAZING!!! Later shamelessly, the waiter, the manager and the person at the money counter went ahead showing themselves busy and not bothering about us as if it was a normal practice for them to serve cockroaches in thali. Later, they shamelessly bought the bill of the order and the waiter stood near our table for the money. Internally I was fuming and was feeling like slapping them but on controlling my aggression and frustration I told them that I won't be paying for the choorma and they agreed for the same. I paid the amount and moved out with a vomitting feeliing. I ADVICE ALL NEVER TO VISIT THIS PLACE . Their hygiene condition is very bad. They are simply running the hotel for making money. If you have fallen ill after eating at this place then this is the place to be blamed for that. Anyway, if you still want to eat at this nasty place then good luck from me !!
