I left this school after completing my higher secondary Part 1 (year 10) in 1965. It was an excellent school. I was on the Meirt List for the year 8th State exams. I passed out matriculation in 1953 from Sain Das A S High School. Then it was considered to be the best High School in India. I hope it is so even now. I had the honor of being one of the top top ten students in the university.
I am very to be an Alumni of SDAS High School.
I studied in this school from 1970 to 1975. It was best school of state during those years. It produced many toppers and merit list holders. I am proud to be a student of this school. About two years back I visited that school in November 2015 and it gave greatest shock when I came to know that now this school is not producing toppers and merit position holders any more. I have been a student of this school in 1961 to 1964.
I was born at house No. NF 155 Inside main Hiran Gate, and passed my Matriculation examination in 1949 from Sain Das Anglo Sanskrit High School. Jalandhar city. At that time Hon,Shri Chaman lal ji was the Head Master. Since my mother Mrs. Gian Devi Prabhakar was Head Mistress of the Fenton Ganj Gigh Higher Secondary School, Jalandhar at that time, majority of the teachers of the city were know to my mother and specially the teachers of the SDAS School.This school has done a great job in imparting education to student and I hope it will continue to be one the best schools. I did my Matriculation from this school in 1960. It was one of the best school in Whole of Punjab. My head Master used to be Sh. Chaman Lal and then Pyre Lal Beri. Other teachers I remember were were Hari Ram, Chudamani, Sardar ji drawing master. There is to be special classes for brilliant students to so that they get on merit list and also for poor student so tat they get thru. I used to stay in central town. Thereafter I joined Punjab Agri. University, Ludhiana in 1960 and completed my graduation (1964) and post graduation (1966). The best school of our time, this school has made our future. Our dedicated teachers like, Shri Sita Ram Ji, Shri Harish Chander Nistander, Shri Inder JIt Talwar Ji, Shri Pooran Singh Ji, Shri K L Rajput and many more. Principal of that time Shri Pyare Lal Beri.
I then joined D.A.V. College Jalandhar before coming to U.K. in 1975 to join university here.
