When a 4D scan done for my baby 4 years ago in a different centre, the radiologist took her own time (40min) to comfort me n show me fetal parts like face limbs n other imp organs. They even provided the images of 4d fetal imaging shots. With expectations of something more due to vast change in technology in these 4 yrs, we have been totally disappointed. The consulting radiologist didnt even look at the patient n ask how she feels or what she would like to see about her baby. He completed the scan in 5min and went away. When stressed again about the baby images, he asked us to come back n examined again ... but the baby position has changed. But still the indifferent attitude of the radiologist was least expected.

Hi Ashrita, Being an a ultrasound technologist let me kindly correct you...4D scan cannot be pasted in any book because 4D is nothing but a moving 3D so u have to tell how can you paste a 4D? ( however your idea of pasting it on baby book was cool) Also i dont get what you mean by coloured scan? let me tell you that there is nothing like a coloured scan. The 3D or 4D is a black and white image with a tint added on the image to make it look like real one..i.e sepia tint...but this doesnt mean the colour/complexion of the baby. I understand that you are not properly equipped with the technology but at least you should have checked afterwards and before you write on a person/doctor publicly. In the 8th month of pregnancy, with my last scan due - I was rather excited to get a 4D scan so that I can paste it in my Babybook. However, the blunder was to go to Abhishek Institute of Imageology for it. A gloomy little place, poorly lit - had a rather rude Dr. T L N Praveen, performing the scan. Post 45 mins of wait time, I enter the scan room, got prepared for the scan, was made to lie down & wanted to check if a coloured scan shall be done. To which the doctor said that its feasible to see a coloured scan on the monitor however the report is yet 3D & black & white.
