I am the owner of a 2008 make Honda City. Though I live in HSR layout and the DAKSHIN HONDA service center is lot closer, I usually get it serviced at Whitefield Honda. This is because I had read consistent poor to scathing reviews on DAKSHIN HONDA online and chose to not take a risk.
However the car's clutch was making a creaking noise and for such a 'minor' issue I thought why drive all the way to Whitefield and why not give DAKSHIN HONDA guys a try. I gave them the car on a Tuesday afternoon. The associate said that he will try to give the car back by 6pm same day if possible or I will get it back only the next day at 11am. I was okay with both options and eventually had to go the next day to collect the car.
Before seeing the car, I made the payment due for the service and was led to the car which was parked at the exit to the service center. Thatâs when to my horror I saw deep gashes/scratches on almost all sides of the car!!! These were around 6-10 inches in length and I counted 7 separate scratches individually on all the doors, the bonnet, the fuel cap side etc. I tried to not over react with a great effort tried to calmly point out the scratches to the sales associate. Who immediately looked at the service sheet and said that these are all pre-existing!!
I just lost it and yelled at the top of my voice and told them that there are other micro scratches which are pre-existing, but these wide deep ones are thanks to the DAKSHIN HONDA service. After maintaining high decibel levels for 10mins or so, his seniors came in and I had to repeatedly explain to them that these are new damages. Finally after 45 mins or so, one guy said very nonchalantly that I can leave now, they will check their CCTV footage of the service area and tell me "if they are responsible or not".
I had lost all my energy in this discussion was cloud of regret was engulfing me to have brought the car here to DAKSHIN HONDA after all the warnings I had seen online. I came back after 3hrs and was told that their CCTV "Strangely did not have any footage on the car" and with a little more nudging from my side, they agreed to paint the panels that had scratches. This time I took the yelling and arguing to their customer waiting area. So that at least the presence of other clients would bring some shame into their service team.
I was told that I will get the car back in 3 days or so. And hence I had to plan my conveyance on my own for those days. Finally on the 4 or 5th day I got the car back and thankfully they had done a satisfactory job of repainting all the sides in uniform shades.
Of all the things that went wrong, the service team's lack of empathy or unapologising attitude was the part that really ticked me off. To end it all, I saw one elderly gentleman watching this fiasco and he approached me to tell me that he too had given his car for service and the DAKSHIN HONDA people had managed to break the glove box!! He was now back to collect the car after they fixed it.
HONDA OWNERS (yes I am trying to shout here) PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE DAKSHIN HONDA SERVICE CENTER IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR CAR TO BE DAMAGED FURTHER OR IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SPEND AN ENTIRE WEEK CHASING THEM.
I used Krishna Intl Packers & Movers' services in Dec 2011. I had moved internally within Bangalore to a distance of 12kms.
Mr. Ajit was the point of contact all through. And though I was doubtful of their efficiency as I hadn't heard of them before; I am glad all my fears were put to rest. They came up on time and used enough packing materials to cover all my household items, including the expensive breakable pieces with great care and efficiency. The workers who had come were courteous enough and not the annoying type, who are difficult to deal with, rude, lazy or all! They were well mannered and made sure that they checked with us for our preferences of packing wherever necessary.
They came in one person short so the process took a while,however in the end they unpacked and setup whatever was possible at that moment as we wanted and never gave us a reason to gripe. In the end, they even left some cartons unpacked with us, as we needed a few days to fix the house. That was very helpful for us and very generous of Mr.Ajit to do so. As most packers are finicky about getting their packing material back.
All in all, I will recommend these folks to anyone who is moving in Bangalore. They are much better and reasonably priced when compared to a lot of unprofessional fellows out there in this industry.
