SSub: Deficiency in services I got feed back from your website that services provided in your hospital are efficient and cost effective. But my experience in this regard is totally opposite. I registered my daughter-in-law, who was pregnant, at your hospital at Kharghar in June, 2012. There were many visits between first visit and admission date for delivery in August. Following are my observations regarding deficiency in services at your hospital:- 1. There is no information displayed at your reception regarding various charges and nobody provides clear answer about the same. When my daughter-in-law was admitted for delivery, nobody replied the quarry regarding OT charges or service charges. When I went to billing counter at the time of discharge, it was asked that whether I have opted for delivery package. When I replied in negative, it was told to me that there is a package of Rs. 50,000/- for delivery and I have to pay that. When I asked for the break up, nobody on the billing counter was ready to provide the details. When I insisted many times then break-up was provided to me on third day and it was fabricated by back calculation to match with the bill which was provided to me. It was excluding medicines, bed charges and child care charges. Total charges were well above 75,000/-. I was surprised to know from the break-up that to reach the billed amount exorbitant rates were shown in the bill. For example, there were many visits of surgeon and 2. When I asked for prescriptions and test reports, it was told to me that it is for hospital record. When I told that these documents are required for claiming the reimbursement, it was provided to me after 3 days. I came to know that I have paid for such tests also which were no carried out. For example, Rs. 1000 was charged for sputum test but there was no report. When I asked, it was told to me that I have to give another sample, that too after 5 days, because sample is lost. TilTill then problem is cured and no sample could be given but there is no refund.l then 3. Air Conditioners are provided in the room but their condition is such that when started, continuous water drips on the bed and nobody is responsible for that. These are the few observations regarding services of Niramay Hospital. If someone asks for my opinion, I will never suggest anybody to be admitted in this hospital.
