M A Chidambaram Stadium: Established in 1916 and formerly known as the Chepauk Stadium, this premier stadium has been associated with an array of cricketing records. The stadium has a seating capacity of 50,000 and features flood lights and a giant electronic screen. The Chepauk, as it is commonly known, has a bouncy pitch and is the home ground of the Tamil Nadu cricket team. The Indian cricket team won its first ever Test victory on this ground in 1952 against England.
